Toronto Zenith managed construction operations within 15 Metrolinx stations along the Kitchener and Milton Railway Corridor.
Objectives
- Upgrade passenger notification systems
- Install Presto Payment Machines
- Upgrade station UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply)
- Provide Flag person to work within the ROW of the train tracks
- Ensure all stations remain operational during construction
- Ensure all activities take place outside of peak station hours
- Manage relationships with businesses and the public
Key Aspects
- Outfitted each station with two to three Digital Schedule Monitors for train schedules
- Outfitted new UPS system at stations
- Updated backup power supply
- Installed additional Presto Payment Machines to alleviate congestion at payment machines during rush hour
