Toronto Zenith was contracted to rehabilitate, widen and modify the existing bridge substructure to accommodate two future CNR tracks and Metrolinx expansion over the Credit River, near Georgetown.

Objectives

  • Protect the Credit River and its environmentally sensitive habitat during construction
  • Construct the 20m x 40m high concrete piers
  • Create a specialized form liner to match the historical stone façade

Key Aspects

  • Worked under a live track by encapsulating the original pier
  • Constructed road to access the river valley for construction purposes
