Canadian National Railway Bridge Pier Extensions and Modifications
Toronto Zenith was contracted to rehabilitate, widen and modify the existing bridge substructure to accommodate two future CNR tracks and Metrolinx expansion over the Credit River, near Georgetown.
Objectives
- Protect the Credit River and its environmentally sensitive habitat during construction
- Construct the 20m x 40m high concrete piers
- Create a specialized form liner to match the historical stone façade

- Worked under a live track by encapsulating the original pier
- Constructed road to access the river valley for construction purposes
