Toronto Zenith was contracted to rehabilitate the Brock Road Bridge and the roadway over Highway 401, from Bayly Street to Pickering Parkway.
Objectives
- Improve roadway, and traffic flow and public safety on Brock Road
- Improve access to Highway 401
Key Aspects
- Widened Brock Road from 4 to 6 lanes (including grading work and sewer work)
- Implemented complex traffic control system
- Managed relationships with businesses and the public
- Implemented new signalized intersections
- Converted expansion joints to semi-integral structure
- Poured new deck pour to join east and west structures
- Replaced bearings
- Rehabilitated bridge substructure
